Just When You Thought Your Kids Get Enough Immunizations

I was shocked today bringing my daughter for her well child check....they are recommending children between 12-24 months have a Hepatitis A immunization and it soon will be required. Before it was recommended for people who were traveling out of the country. I know you have a break-out here and there with food service from those wonderful people who don't wash their hands and make a poo poo taco, but enough to immunize? What are all your thoughts?

I'm all for it. Got it anyway 'cuz we had to take DS to Mexico for a wedding and wanted to be safe. But think of how he's a toddler and doesn't wash his hands on a regular basis -- nose to mouth action, digging in his pants half the time.... More and more cases of food poisoning... I'd rather be safe than sorry. Just read an article about an actor in Great Britain who passed away -- ended up retiring a couple years ago 'cuz of complications from Hep A.
