Possible Inguinal Hernia??

Hi Everyone. I have a question about my 2 yr old daughter. I just noticed a few minutes ago when I was changing her diaper that this lump appeared it is in the bottom part of the left of her abdomen. I am hoping it is just stool waiting to come out. She has actually been going to the bathroom pretty well lately. She had long bouts of constipation for a while. But within the past few weeks she has normalized.going pretty much every day.
About a few months ago I noticed the same lump in the same spot but she was constipated also. It scared me so I took her to the ER they did an xray and said it was probably stool. After she had a BM I think it went away. I didn't see it anymore. But now she has been going regulary so I am not sure if it is stool or not. I am waiting till she has a BM to be concerned.
Any advice is appreciated,Or someone who has gone through this with a child.
Thanks

Forgot to mention. That she also has had a swollen abdomen for quite some time now. And she doesn't have an appt with a GI dr till July 21st, (the earliest appt). At least it is at a childrens hospital. She also isn't the greatest eater or weight gainer.

Answers:

Is it in the groin crease in her lower abdomen or is it actually on her tummy? If it is in the groin crease, and it seems to get bigger when she cries or is grunting to move her bowels, then it is possible that it could be a hernia.
