Constant Dry Patch on Son's Arm

For about a month and a half now there has been a dry patch of skin right on the fold of my son's arm ( the elbow crease). Sometimes it seems to go away and other times it is really red, I notice that he scratches at it sometimes but it doesn't seem to be very bothersome to him. What is it? Could it be ezemea? There isn't any other patches like this on his body. I tried everything, aloe vera plants, vit e oil, calamin lotion and a bunch of other stuff but it doesn't seem to vanish.

Sure sounds like exzema.. I know a girlfriend of mine has it.. and she goes to her doctor for some cream for it.. and it seems to stay under control for her.. Perhaps you should go and have it looked at and hopefully get some salve for the little guy... Good Luck!

I agree. It sounds like eczema. My son used a prescription cream as well as Aveeno lotion and oatmeal baths. Eczema is commonly caused by a food allergy, so if you find out what is causing his eczema, then you might be able to skip the medications and prevent future and more severe breakouts. One thing about the script creams is that they sometimes make the skin more sensitive to the sun and you have to use extra caution to prevent sunburns. Be sure to read the cautions.

Maybe it is psoriasis?? It could also be eczema-alot of children with asthma and allergies have this. Have it checked out at the dr's-they will most likely know right away what it is.
Answers:

The most possible one is eczema, this is the most popular itching disease in the world.
You'd better to see your Dr, to make sure your disease and then apply cream.
Be take care of the use of cortisone cream, be cause it is a kind of oursidebody hormone that is no good to the body.
GOOD LUCK.
