skin biopsy in my two year old

I rushed my son to the doctor this morning because he had strep throat again (this is the sixth time) and he was very lathargic. He was almost hospitalized last time he had strep. His heart was racing and beating hard too. They told me that it wasn't strep A, what kids normally get, but that the bacteria in his system was getting stronger and had grown into another kind of strep. Also, they had me put him on vitamins and if this doesn't help his immune system (he constantly gets severely sick) then they want to do immune resistance treatment. And they also want me to check with an ENT clinic to see if they will go ahead and take out his tonsils and adenoids. On top of all that, they found a mole in his hair that he hasn't let me touch and I assumed it was a scab. Well... aparently they are worried about it because if it doesn't go away by next week they want me to come back and schedule a biopsy. I only went in for a strep test! How can all this happen? I don't even know where to start. He is acting like he's feeling better now but how do I deal with all this? I feel helpless!
Answers:

Just be careful on the removal of tonsils and adenoids, I heard some where if you have their tonsil out the infection they get from strep can go straight to either the throat or lungs I forget which.
