green/yellow discharge from 6 year old

My daughter is 6 yeras old and has been having a greenish/yellow discharge with NO other symptoms. Its driving me crazy. She has like "slime" on her crotch, and we wipe, and its green. The doctor says its normal.Ive been giving her baking soda soaks.I dont know what else to do or think. Some advice would be fantastic.
Answers:

I don't think its normal. I would go to another doctor and get a 2nd opinion. Maybe a yeast infection.
Answers:

Took her to doctor today, ran some cultures...so far might be UTI,and irritation. They will watch the bacteria culture over the next day or so.Hopefully, all will resolve.POOR BABY!!!!

Can you tell just exactly where this is really coming from?are you certain that this is stemming from her urinary tract and not a vaginal discharge?this definitelt is not normal.i also think a new doc may be in order as well.he does not seem to be too concerned about something that is very obviously some sort of very real infection.depending on what shows up,i would still take her to another ped.any actual doctor who tells you that a green/yellow discharge is normal is not a doc you want to actually have seeing your daughter or even yourself for that matter.that dicharge is screaming infection.you also need to find out for sure just where that inection is coming from.when are you supposed to find out the results of the test?did they actualy culture the discharge or her urine?I hope things turn out well for your daughter.please let us know what you find out.and i would also start asking freinds and family who they take their kids to as far as ped docs go and go with a new one.seriously this doc should not be treating patients if he doesn't know what an infection looks like.your daughter deserves a much better knowledgeable doc who doesn't blow off things that could turn into something really nasty if not appropriately treated.Marcia

They tested her urine, and swabbed the discharge from her vagina 3 differant times (swabs) They just called and said looks like urinary tract infection, and will watch for her bacterial culture have some tests results. They said it could take a few days. They said it could also be just irratation from wiping wrong.I dont know what else to say. They did the swabs.....she has no other symptoms.
