Really Really Really CURIOUS!!!!
I have 3 daughters and I am currently pregnant with number four... My question however lies with DD number 3... She has about 8 teeth on top and 6 on the bottom but what strikes me as so strange is that she still just has the two bottom front teeth... the other four on the bottom are molars... She is 20 mths and if I remember correctly the "four" bottom usually arrived within 15 months at least... My Doctor says I can put her through the "ordeal" of sedation and x-rays of the mouth (like I would even consider that!!!) or just wait it out... I guess I would just be a little more comfortable knowing that someone else had a little one that had teeth come in at this rate... I have a couple to compare to and this one is just off too me... Anyone??

I work in the dental field. The eruption schedule can differ with every child. Usually speaking you have the front four, then the 1st molars, then the caine's and lastly the 2nd molars. Like i said every child is different. You can look online about the eruption schedule for primary teeth. It will give you est. time frames. My DD was later with teeth. First one at 10 months. She does have her front 4 then the 1st molars and finally her caine's are a little of the last of the time frame for them. She is finally getting those in the last month. I think the time frame on those are like 18-24 months and she is 27 months now. So i was getting a little worried. I have you talked to your dentist about this. Usually there is no concern as long as they have gotten there 1st tooth by 15 months. She may just be on a later eruption schedule on some of them. The later schedule is nice because then they are in their mouth less time. So healthier teeth less expouse to bad things. Not saying nothing will happen. I hope this helped.Please Keep me informed.

Thanks so much for the input... She didn't get her first tooth until 13 months so I am assuming that her schedule is just a little later... The dentist at this point just says that they will be stronger teeth?? I will just wait it out.. Sounds like others have had something similar and I need not worry just yet.. Thanks for putting my mind at ease... Really!! Seems funny to worry about something like teeth. Thank God my children are heathly in all other ways!!
