I've been on the shot for 2 months and
I had a period for about 2 weeks. It was lighter than it usually is. About 2 days after my period ended, my boyfriend and I had sex. The next day, it appeared that my period returned. I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing. My periods are not heavy at all and I'm not cramping with them. I thought that periods were supposed to go away, not stay for weeks. Is it just my body getting use to the birth control? I have an appointment next month to get another shot and I plan on asking them what's going on.

Either you don't get a period at all, or you are always on a period that never ends!!! I was on Depo for 2 years and I didn't get a period at all after my 1st shot. My periods didn't return til 5 years AFTER I stopped Depo!!!!!

I just had to comment about the DEPO. STAY AWAY. I was on the Depo shot for about a year. The entire time, I was moody, crampy, and have never been regular ever since. I strongly recommend you not take this shot. Just a peace of advice...

I feel the same way about Depo. I gained weight, had headaches, cramps, heavy bleeding.. etc. Stay away from it!

I gained weight, had MAJOR aggression, acne and I bled the ENTIRE time! My sister has been on it for around a year and her periods stopped with the first shot. I guess it just depends on your sensitivities to hormones.
