QUITTING - have a question...
Because of my own issues with the pill and things I've read about it recently, I've decided to quit. I hope I'm making the right decision.
Anyway, I finished up my pills last week and I'm on my "period" now. It should finish up Tuesday. My question is, will I get another period right after I finish this one since I'm not starting another pack of pills?
Answers:
No, you shouldn't. Some women will have some spotting their first cycle off the pill, but I didn't. I stopped mid-pack, which basically caused me to have my "period" on the pill--the withdrawal bleed. Then, I didn't have my first real period for 35 days after the withdrawal bleed. Your next real period may be right on time or a little late. If it is late, don't freak out too much; that is normal for a lot of women stopping the pill.

I stopped taking the pill about a week and a half ago and I haven't had any spotting or bleeding. I am curious to see if I will start my period around the time I should or if my body will take some time to get back to normal.

Every woman is different with regards to stopping the Pill. I took my last pill Dec. 23rd and have not been on it since due to a blood clot, and I had a normal period afterwards. I went off of the pill a year ago for needed testing for female issues, and I ended up being late by almost a month between stopping the Pill and getting my period. Honestly there's no way to know because every woman's body reacts differently.
If you have questions, I would call your gynecologist or your doctor to get some piece of mind.
Good luck to you!

How did you know you had a blood clot? That is one thing I've always feared with birth control and part of the reason I'm quitting.
