I just started Loestrin two weeks ago, already had unprotected sex
I just started Loestrin 24 using the Sunday Start. I haven't missed a single pill. My boyfriend and I have been together for four years and just recently decided to become sexually active. I had taken the pills for twelve days when we had sex. Should I be worried?
I, too, have had the problem with spotting. My period went on for about seven days. Now it has been almost three weeks and I haven't stopped spotting yet!

If you have taken the pill properly, you should really be okay. It is normally recommended that you take the pill for a month before having unprotected sex, to be sure you are taking it properly. But techinically, after 7 days (when using the Sunday start -- from Day 1, when using the Day 1 start), you are protected from sex.
A lot of people experience spotting or break through bleeding during their first months on the pill. I am not surprised at all, in your case, with such a low estrogen pill (estrogen is what controls the spotting). It shoudl even itself out once your body gets used to it in 2-3 months. I know it's annoying, but if you are having no other trouble with the pill it may be worth the wait. If it gets to be more than annoying spotting (like a full period for weeks on end), get in touch with your doctor.
Good luck!
