Any pill recs that don't kill sex drive?
I have been on the pill for years but it seems as if as times goes on, my sex drive dies. And I never connected the 2 until a few months ago. So I skipped the pill last month and BAM! My sex drive shot up....and it wasn't mind over matter because I wasn't even thinking about it. I swear, I felt like a guy last week...I wanted sex all the time. I got my sex drive AND lubrication back! Problem is, I need to be on the pill mainly because of the horrible horrible cramps but also because I don't want kids. But I don't wanna go back on it this month now-LOL! Is anyone on a pill that doesn't kill your sex drive?

I don't reckon that one exists. I've never found one that didn't kill my sex drive, and if you read enough on this board and the others that are out there, you'll find that one very common problem faced by women who have been on the pill longer than 3 or 4 years have found their sex drive is gone.
I have said this countless times but no one seems to listen to me. The problem is that the pill, as a form of contraception, is actually really effective because the longer the woman stays on the pill, the more dead her sex drive is. Some women are lucky and get theirs back right away when they quit. But others have found, especially with very long term pill use (ten years or more) that they take forever to get it back again (if at all).
So, if you want a contraceptive that doesn't cause a dead libido, then the pill is the wrong answer. It just doesn't keep your sex drive intact, and the unfortunate fact is that the longer you stay on it, the worse it will become.
I don't have an answer for you. All I can tell you is that I've been using regular, non-spermicidal condoms since I quit the pill and I haven't gotten pregnant in over a year. So I must be doing something right.

Thanks so much for your reply. My concern is that I need something for my cramps because I am literally bed-ridden with hot flashes...that's how bad they get. I' m wondering if maybe The Patch would work? In a way I don't hate to try something else since The Pill has worked for so long ("If it's not broke, don't fix it") yet having my sex drive back is great! I had asked my gyno about The Patch years ago but he would not put me on it because of my weight-I was too heavy. I recently lost 50lbs so I should be ok to try it now....
I'm gonna try to get an appointment to get in before I am supposed to start my next packet (next Sunday) to discuss options. But your info was very helpful. Thanks!

I was on Ovcon-35 before and never had any libido problems with it.
