Help! Is this normal after mirena removal?
I just got the mirena out 3 days ago, I've been cramping but today I started bleeding bright red blood with clots! Just wondering if this is normal and anyone else experience this with their removals? I'm not in a lot of pain, just a lot of bleeding with little cramps! Ughh... Not fun! thanks so much.. hey fullhouse! it's normal! i had clots first few days as well. it'll take awhile but soon you feel back to normal! i am due for my second cycle to start after removal of mirena. i have horrible bloating issues and cravings but other than that, very very happy!!! keep chin up girl! it'll get better soon!

Thanks tinytoes, I just didn't think I would bleed so much! I also felt the bloating issue you were talking about the first few days, not fun huh? I'm sick on top of all this but I'm on an antibiotic and vicodin for my throat and ear pain! I've just been laying on a heating pad for the cramps, I guess thats all we can do huh? I was talking with my doctor about maybe getting paraguard but he also said that I could have break through bleeding like I did with mirena... So maybe my I should get my tubes tied too. You are getting yours done in a about a week or so right? I'll let you be the brave on first! Ha ha.. I'll keep ya posted.. Keep me posted with yourself too..

it'll all get better soon! we decided against the tubal thing. it was scheduled for april 16th. i had read too many things about post tubal ligation syndrome. i do not need anymore pms!!!!!!! so when it comes time, dh will get snipped.

Uggghh, I hope it gets better soon.. I'm cramping and bleeding and don't feel so well! How long did you cramp and bleed and pass clots for? Do you remember? I got mine out on Mon and started the bleeding on wed... Nobody ever tells you what to expect afterwards.. So thanks for helping me through all this! Hugs.. Fullhouse03
