4 year old activities
My 4 year old dd is going to swimming class on Sunday and dancing on Thursday after daycare. Touch wood we don't have problem on Sunday. On Thursday or different working day we always have problems. Sometimes it is ok, but often she doesn't want to go. I wonder if we should take her to before daycare class. My friend thinks that she can't attend class on daycare day.
All opinions are welcome.

Maybe she doesn't want to go to a class on a daycare day because she'd just rather be spending the time with you because she hasn't seen you all day. Just a thought.

The wanting your attention may be the key there.. my son just wants to relax and get mommy and daddy time after day care. He will sit and wait for his daddy to get home and chime in.. I haven't had Daddy time yet. He can not be diverted from getting time with his parents, I am glad he wants to spend time with us.
At four your child should be able to tell you why they don't want to go to swim class. Ask her, she might suprise you with her answer. You might be able to turn it around and make it parent and me time during the lessons, by working on you own with her.
My son is a fourth generation duck. He will barrel in the pool anytime he gets a chance.. he wants to play versus learn to swim.. he also hates having to depend on someone else.. he is at the peek of his independence phase... I swear he got both of our stubborn genes.
Sincerely,
MG
